Regional Launch of Atrevia® Petmedica® fluralaner arrives to Mexico and Central America

Petmedica® surprised this 2022 with the launch of Atrevia®, an ectoparasiticide formulated based on fluralaner, a next-generation molecule belonging to the isoxazoline family that effectively eliminates fleas, ticks and mites.

Atrevia® is the first product in the SUPER CHEWS™ line, soft tablets with special characteristics for correct and easy dosing. Atrevia® is exclusively for use in dogs and comes in two versions: Atrevia® One for monthly administration and Atrevia® XR for quarterly administration; and their presentations vary according to weight: mini, small, medium and large.

During the launch, D.M.V. Luis Chavez, Head of Health - Small Animals and Pharmacovigilance at Agrovet Market, presented the field studies of Atrevia®, carried out in real conditions with animals highly infested with fleas, ticks and mites, demonstrating optimal performance, speed of action, safety and effectiveness. In the same way, its high palatability has also been verified, achieving the voluntary acceptance of 98% of the dogs that participated in the studies.

The launch was carried out in Peru, and then in the countries of Nicaragua, Guatemala, Mexico and Costa Rica.

July 2022, Hotel Double Tree by Hilton, Managua – Agrovet Market Nicaragua was the first office to receive Atrevia® internationally, gathering around 100 attendees including veterinarians and the most representative distributors in the city at the launch event. A press conference was also held on the main morning radio and television programs in the country.

October 2022, Hotel Barceló, Guatemala City – Together with our authorized distributor in the country, Revetsa, we had the participation of 180 attendees, including veterinarians from the main clinics, pet shops and distributors in the capital. The MV Luis Chavez took advantage of the visit to visit the main veterinary clinics and shops in the capital, presenting Atrevia® as a new alternative in the Guatemalan market.

November 2022, XL AMMVEPE Congress, Acapulco – One of the most representative congresses aimed at small animals organized by the Mexican Association of Veterinary Medical Specialists in Small Species, A.C., was the perfect place for the introduction of Atrevia® in Mexico. Dr. Chávez participated in the commercial area of ​​the event and the ATREVIA® NIGHT was organized, an official launch event that brought together more than 400 veterinarians attending the congress.

November 2022, Hotel Barceló, San José – Agrovet Market together with Inversiones Monteco, a strategic partner in Costa Rica, launched Atrevia®; The launch event brought together more than 200 attendees, including veterinarians specializing in small species and pet shop owners.
