Suralan®: High protection, low dosage

Petmedica® announces the launch of Suralan®, a new ectoparasitic treatment product designed exclusively for dogs, which promises an excellent solution for the control of fleas, ticks and mites, formulated with sarolaner.

Suralan® is a pleasant tasting soft chewable tablet that has been specially formulated to provide dogs with an effective and easy to administer treatment. Sarolaner, an ultra-purified active ingredient, is known for its systemic action and for being a potent and effective treatment against ectoparasite infestations. Thanks to its enantiomeric form, in particular the chirally pure S enantiomer present in its composition, Suralan® achieves a superior pharmacological action, using a lower amount of active ingredient compared to other antiparasitics on the market.

The action of Suralan® begins in only 90 minutes, eliminating fleas in 4 hours and ticks in 8 hours, providing protection for at least 35 days. Its use is indicated for prevention and treatment in the following cases:

• Flea infestations, including control of infestation in the environment and areas accessible to the animal, making it effective for the control of flea allergy dermatitis (FAD).
• Tick infestations (adult and juvenile), being an effective tool for the prevention of Borrelia burgdorferi and Anaplasma phagocytophilum transmission and minimizing Babesia canis canis infections by infected ticks.
• Skin mite infestations, such as demodicosis and scabies as well as ear mites.

Suralan® is suitable for dogs from 8 weeks of age and weighing at least 1.25 kg, both young and adult breeds.

The product is available in six commercial presentations, adapted to the dog's weight, including options for miniature to extra-large breeds. Thus, all dogs, regardless of their size, can enjoy the benefits of Suralan®.
