Dairy Masters gathers Milk Quality specialists from Bajio and Comarca Lagunera in Mexico Agrovet Market and Vetermex organized two roundtables on Milk Quality topics

Mexico._ During may 27th and 28th, two interesting Roundtable On Milk Quality were held on the scope of the First Dairy Masters Meeting in Mexico, a specialist reunión promoted by Agrovet Market Animal Health and Vetermex. This firts meeting had as its porpuse to encourage the exchange of experience and opinion on milk quality topics. The main speaker of this event was Martín Cruz Alamilla  D.V.M., who presented the subject: “Udder health in the first days postpartum and its relationship with other diseases”. These activities were held in the cities of Querétaro and Torreón, chosen by its relevance in milk production in Mexico. Dairy Masters Querétaro gathered renowned advisors of Jalisco, Aguas Calientes, Guanajuato and Querétaro. And the second reunión count with the participation of the topadvisors from La Comarca Lagunera and Chihuahua. 

Within the main agreements were: the importance of stress management, and appropiate freestall, and as well with the cleaning of instalations.  Other topic that was emphasized by the specialists was the importance of an appropiate dry period programme and the characteristics of a good product for the health of the teat. The specialist agreed that the diagnostic practice and the personnel training, specially the operators, are the topics to give priority in a farm.  In these two roundtables, they concluded that milk quality is a day by day task and that all the employees should be lead to this goal.
